If you’re considering an alternative to university, this programme will give you an insight into the world of EY and help you decide if an EY degree apprenticeship within Consulting is right for you.

Programme overview

Designed for school students who have been in Year 12 (England) in 2026, you’ll discover more about our degree apprenticeship opportunities available at EY in Newcastle, and the wealth of exciting career possibilities available to you.

Our Newcastle office runs two degree apprenticeship programmes – ‘Business Leadership and Management Practice’ and ‘Digital and Technology Solutions’.

On this programme, you’ll learn more about what a career in Consulting (client-facing work) or Core Business Services (internal-facing work) entails and get an insight into those degree apprenticeship opportunities.

Across one day, you’ll learn more about the work our Consulting apprentices at EY in Newcastle do to make an impact to our people, clients and communities.

What you will be doing

  • Taking part in on-the-job case studies, business skills sessions, and networking with current apprentices
  • Having access to senior role models within the business.
  • Attending workshops with business leaders.
  • You could even be fast-tracked onto one of our September 2027 entry degree apprenticeship opportunities.

How it’s structured

Get a taste of the real working world with our one-day insight programme:

  • You’ll attend a one–day in-person event hosted in our EY Newcastle office. We are expecting to run this programme on 16 July from 11am – 4pm

Please note that this event is for those considering degree apprenticeships available in our Newcastle office only.

For the in-person event, EY will cover reasonable travel costs for you to get to the office. There are no overnight stays for these events – and we advise for you to only apply if you are within a comfortable commutable distance to the Newcastle office.
