Delivering trust and confidence to the financial markets, whilst progressing your future as a business advisor.
Programme overview
The role of an auditor is continually evolving, however our purpose to bring trust and confidence to society and financial markets has not changed.
Technology, including AI is transforming the way that we deliver our audits as it’s embedded in everything that we do. It allows us to focus on using our key skills on analysis, exercising professional judgement and providing powerful insights to EY teams and clients.
What you will be doing
- Gaining a wider variety of experience to transform you into a business advisor. One day you could be talking to companies to understand their businesses, the next day you could be developing the audit strategy with the team.
- Working in teams we analyse data, both financial and non-financial, and test business controls to determine whether financial statements are accurate.
- Learning from your team as they coach and guide you in your day-to-day tasks.
- Working across a portfolio of clients assigned to you. This will involve a mixture of hybrid working – travelling to client offices, working in the EY office and occasionally from home. It will vary by client and will depend on the requirement of the team.
- Studying towards a Professional Qualification, which requires attending in-person courses, self-study and sitting exams.
- Attending EY learning courses to continually learn new skills.
- Regularly meeting your support network including your Career Counsellor, and Apprenticeship Coach to track your performance and help you progress your career.
- Participating in a range of other activities that help you build your network and support the performance of our business.
