Programme overview
The world of Financial Services Tax is undergoing a fundamental and long-term evolution as tax authorities globally seek to digitise existing tax regimes. In parallel, they are introducing new, wide ranging, complex and data-intensive tax regulations to increase tax transparency, drive more efficient compliance and insight, and increase tax revenues to fund governmental initiatives.
We help businesses across many sectors including Banking, Capital Markets, Wealth & Asset Management and Insurance adapt to the rapidly changing tax landscape. We provide data strategies to enhance current and future state tax compliance effectiveness. We create scale, control and efficiency for clients by designing and implementing new operating models for tax and finance that leverage cutting edge technologies and develop and implement innovative technology assets to solve our clients specific tax needs. Our work includes a wide range of tax services to clients covering all aspects of operations, technology, software and data consulting.
What you will be doing
- Specialising in Tax Technology. This could involve advising our clients directly on how to implement technology and innovate to address new regulations or business needs. You’ll also work alongside wider teams to deliver transformation to our clients in other areas of tax (indirect taxes, operational taxes, international taxes etc).
- Learning new technical skills such as project management, analytical skills, data architecture, data management, business analysis skills, operating model design and more.
- Developing and practicing soft skills such as communication, stakeholder management, written and verbal presentation skills, planning, negotiation and commercial awareness.
- Building relationships both within EY and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and growing your network and market presence.
- Building knowledge and expertise about the financial services industry, its participants, how they operate and the tax and finance related challenges that they face.
