As part of this programme, you will focus on two areas:
- Study for a degree in Business Leadership and Management Practice at Northumbria University. The module breakdown can be found here.
- Study towards a professional qualification from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI)
Apprentices will join our Consulting Service Delivery (CSD) team in Newcastle. CSD specialises in operational delivery – supporting competencies such as financial crime, conduct risk and transformation. In a project-based environment, you will work alongside a range of EY people to assist clients with their processes.
What you will be doing
- Working on a range of projects for clients, helping them assess, transform and monitor their risks and controls.
- Working within a team on client projects, meeting daily targets, contributing during team meetings and working towards your personal development.
- Studying towards a degree, approximately 20% of your time will be spent on learning activities and 80% will be on client engagements in our Newcastle office.
- You’ll learn in-person at Northumbria University one day a week whilst studying towards your degree during term time, with additional study days to support. and facilitate continuous learning throughout the year.

Apprentices participating in this programme will be located in Newcastle and will join our Core Business Services (CBS) team, and also engage with the Consulting Service Delivery (CSD) team.
Across the programme, Apprentices will rotate through the following departments:
- CSD Operations
- CSD Go-to-Markets
- Operations
- Deal Activation
- Brand, Marketing, and Communications (BMC)
- Enablement
- Resource Management
- Service Quality
What you will be doing
- Studying one day a week towards degree qualification. You’ll learn in-person at Northumbria University whilst studying towards your degree during term time, with additional study days to support and facilitate continuous learning throughout the year
- Throughout the course, work across a range of operational disciplines to get a feel for different areas of CBS which include Operations, Deal Activation, BMC, Enablement, Resource Management and Service Quality. Work within these CBS teams, to help to grow our business, maintain control of a large client-facing operation and seek smarter, more innovative and more collaborative ways of working. CBS teams are the heart of our organisation, and make an impact across Finance, Marketing, HR, Business Development and more

Technology is constantly disrupting the world of business, but these changes are often opportunities.
Working as part of our Consulting Service Delivery (CSD) team in Newcastle, this apprenticeship enables students to help us and our clients find new ways of enhancing business performance, increasing efficiency, improving engagement and better responding to risks.
CSD specialises in operational delivery – supporting competencies such as cyber security, financial crime, conduct risk and transformation. In a project-based environment, you will work alongside a range of EY people to assist clients with their processes.
You’ll also study towards a BSc degree in Digital and Technology Solutions with BPP University.
What you will be doing
- Working on projects specialising in areas such as Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), Identity Access Management (IAM), Operational Resilience and Data Privacy
- Helping clients deal with complex issues like cybercrime, process improvement, AI and the future of work
- Studying for a BSc, approximately 20% of your time will be spent on learning activities and 80% will be on client projects
- University will be online, other than one week per year of in person sessions, based in London
